Frederick-Firestone Fire District Welcomes Nine New Recruits

Last month, we had the pleasure of welcoming nine new recruits to Frederick-Firestone Fire District! As our community continues to grow, we remain committed to growing alongside it while providing the highest level of service to the people who call our District home.
Over the coming months, these recruits will train, learn and build the skills necessary to serve our community while becoming part of a culture grounded in service, family, professionalism, compassion and integrity.
Our mission goes beyond responding when someone calls 911. It’s about earning your trust, reducing loss of life, preventing harm and protecting property, all while continually developing our organization to meet the evolving needs of our community.
These nine recruits represent another step in that commitment and in our vision to remain a model of excellence in emergency services, risk reduction and life safety.
Fire Prevention Week 2026

Fire Prevention Week brought our crews into eight preschools throughout the District to share lifesaving fire safety lessons with 594 children. From story time to smoke alarm safety and firefighter gear demonstrations, students learned that firefighters are friendly faces they can count on in an emergency.
We’re grateful to the preschools that welcomed us and helped make these important safety lessons fun and memorable!
A big thank you to Malyka Korgan and her team at State Farm in Firestone for donating NFPA Fire Prevention Week education kits to support our fire safety lessons in local preschools! Your generosity helped us teach our youngest community members important fire prevention skills in fun, engaging ways.
Thank You for Joining us for our Annual Open House & Pancake Breakfast @ Station 1!

We love connecting with our community outside of emergencies. Our Annual Open House & Pancake Breakfast was the perfect opportunity to do just that. Everyone enjoyed a morning filled with pancakes, fire trucks, fun activities, and fire safety education. A special thank-you to Frederick Firestone Firefighters for serving up breakfast and to everyone who donated non-perishable food items to support the Carbon Valley Help Center.
We're grateful for such a wonderful community and look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
Fall to Winter Preparedness

As we head into October, November, and December, it's a good time to shift your preparedness focus with the season. Winterize your home and vehicle, check your furnace, insulate pipes, and pack a winter emergency kit for your car. Review your plan for winter storms or power outages too!
