Story Time at the Firehouse

Children from our community had a blast at Story Time at the Firehouse this month! During their visit, children ages 3-5 toured the fire station and got an up close look at the firetruck and ambulance. In addition, they enjoyed a yummy snack while listening to a fire safety story together. Interested in Story Time at the Firehouse? Register for an available session HERE. Safety Corner: Playground Injury Prevention
With the arrival of spring, many of us will be spending a lot more time outside. For children, that means more opportunities to visit the wonderful parks and playgrounds in our community. The CDC reports that around 200,000 children are treated in emergency departments for playground injuries each year. However, most of these injuries are preventable, and one of the best ways to avoid them is by understanding potential hazards and keeping a few safety tips in mind. To help keep your child’s playground experience fun and safe, please take a moment to review this injury prevention checklist. Playground Injury Prevention Checklist
