June 2026 Newsletter
Join the Firework Bucket Brigade this 4th of July!
As we celebrate America's 250th birthday, let's honor the occasion by keeping our families, neighbors, and community safe!

One of the most common causes of fireworks-related fires is the improper disposal of used fireworks. By soaking used fireworks overnight before throwing them away, residents can help prevent fires in trash containers, garages, and homes.
The Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District has partnered with Olde Glory Fireworks and The Home Depot of Firestone to provide free 5-gallon disposal buckets, Fire Brigade stickers featuring disposal instructions, and educational fire safety materials.
Pick up your free bucket beginning June 23 at:
Olde Glory Fireworks Stand
Frederick Way & Highway 52 (across from 7-Eleven)
Available with fireworks purchases
Frederick-Firestone Fire Administration Office
8426 Kosmerl Place, Frederick, CO 80504
**A special thank you to The Home Depot in Firestone for generously donating 150 five-gallon buckets to support this important community safety initiative.**

Preparing to Serve Our Growing Community
As construction nears completion on the new Target store opening soon in our district, crews from Station 4, Station 1, and Mountain View Fire Rescue toured the building as part of a pre-incident planning walkthrough.
Led by Fire Prevention Specialist Ringleman, the walkthrough provided crews with the opportunity to become familiar with the building layout, identify potential hazards, locate fire suppression system controls, and review access points throughout the store.
Walkthroughs like this are an important part of emergency preparedness, particularly in large commercial buildings. Taking the time to understand these spaces before an emergency occurs helps crews respond more effectively and safely when every second counts.
