2025 Annual Report

Our 2025 Annual Report is now available. This year marked a major milestone for our district as we celebrated 50 years of service, achieved international accreditation, and continued to grow alongside the communities we serve. From emergency response and training to community programs and prevention efforts, this report highlights the work our members do every day to keep Frederick, Firestone, and the surrounding areas safe.

April Training

This month, B Shift crews from Stations 4 and 5 completed a 1410 drill, a standardized training designed to evaluate how quickly and effectively firefighters can establish a water supply and get water on a fire.

These evolutions are timed, coordinated, and built to reflect real-world conditions, helping crews refine communication, efficiency, and teamwork during the most critical moments of an incident.

Following National Fire Protection Association 1410 guidelines, departments conduct these drills on a recurring basis, typically annually, to maintain certifications, track performance, and ensure readiness to serve the community.

Sound Off Program 2026

Two firefighters engage with a classroom of attentive children, one raising their hand to ask questions.

Fire safety starts early, and this year’s Sound Off program made a big impact.

Our crews delivered fire safety education to 472 third-grade students across 6 schools and 19 classrooms throughout the district.

Before the program, students averaged 57% on a fire safety knowledge pre-test. After completing Sound Off, that number jumped to 90%.

That’s a 33 percentage point increase, representing a 58% improvement in knowledge.

Classes that achieved 100% completion of the take-home safety form—encouraging families to check smoke detectors, create an emergency escape plan, and address other fire safety measures—were rewarded with a visit from our crews for a truck tour and ice cream.

These results show how effective hands-on education can be in giving kids the tools they need to stay safe at home. Thank you to our crews, educators, students, and families who made this program a success.
