Fire District Bond Election

Unofficial Election Results for May 3, 2022

“Thank you to all the voters of the Frederick-Firestone Fire District for your confidence in us and your support in the May 3, 2022 election to include the General Obligation Bond for your next two fire stations. The unofficial results show 1,902 (52%) in favor, 1,779 (48%) against. We know that approving any tax increase is never popular, but we can assure you this approval of funding will keep us on a solid financial foundation for Station 5 (Wyndham Hill Subdivision) and Station 6 (Barefoot Lakes Subdivision), and we will always be conservative and transparent with your tax dollars. We understand times are tough right now, and we will all get through these times together. Your Fire District is now better prepared to keep emergency response times low, enhancing your quality of life, and most of all positioning ourselves to better serve you and your family by reducing loss of life and property now and in the future. Thank you so much from all of us here at Frederick-Firestone Fire District.”

Below please find the Judge’s Unofficial Abstract of Votes for the May 3, 2022 Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District 4 Regular Election.  Military and Overseas (UOCAVA) ballots may be received until May 11th.   Should we receive additional voted UOCAVA ballots the judges will reconvene to count the balance of the ballots and include with the final tally.  Official results will be canvassed and the results certified no later than May 17th. More to come as the election is certified and final in the days to come.
