Crews train daily to ensure that they are prepared no matter the emergency they respond to. During the month of January, crews are focusing on ice rescue training. Within the District there are several bodies of water crews could have to respond to. This training not only increases the safety of fire personnel, but it increases the potential of a successful rescue if needed. If you should see someone or an animal on the ice who needs help, please call 9-1-1 immediately and let emergency crews rescue them.
