Blended CPR/AED Program and Blended CPR/AED/Basic First Aid Program
The Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District is offering to the community a Blended CPR/AED Program and a Blended CPR/AED/Basic First Aid Program through the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI). Through the program students can access online course materials from any computer at any time during a two-to-three week period, and then complete their learning with an instructor-led, in-class skills session. Community Preparedness Classes
These free community classes are hosted by the Carbon Valley Emergency Planning Committee and the Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District. Each class is held at the Fire District’s Business & Education Center, 8426 Kosmerl Place in Frederick. All classes will begin at 6 p.m. and will last for 2 to 3 hours depending on the topic. Child Passenger Safety
In today’s society, there are many kinds of car seats and many kinds of cars. Did you know that eight out of ten child safety seats are installed incorrectly!
If you would like one of our certified technicians to check the instillation of your child’s car seat, schedule an appointment by calling 303.833.2742 (Hours M-F) 8:00 am – 5:00 pm or feel free to stop by one of our stations to see if a technician is on duty.

Fire Extinguisher Training

Community Outreach Specialist
The Community Outreach Specialist is responsible for a variety of community/public relations duties, including: writing and developing marketing communications materials such as articles, media/press releases, brochures, fliers, posters, electronic presentations, display boards, and newsletters.
In addition the Community Outreach Specialist assists in community preparedness event and training planning, assisting with the maintenance of the Fire District website and social media outlets, media interactions, planning pubic information strategies, developing feedback strategies, and information dissemination to notify citizens and other stakeholders of the Fire District’s activities and information.

Fire station tours are available to residents whom reside within our service boundaries. If you would like to arrange a fire truck/engine visit to your home or family outing, we may be able to accommodate. Please understand that unforeseeable circumstances may prevent us from meeting your desired timeslot/schedule. Please make your request at least 48 hours in advance prior to the date of your event.
